As part of Coop’s 150th anniversary celebrations, a large mosaic sculpture of the iconic Cirkelpigen logo was commissioned for installation at Coop’s headquarters in Albertslund, Denmark. The project involved graduates of the Spier Arts Academy, who created an approximately 16-square-metre sculpture using hand-cut tesserae from a variety of materials, including natural stones sourced from Spier’s vineyards.
Grandi Manufacturing was involved in the production of the structural metal framework that supported the intricate mosaic design, ensuring the stability and durability of the installation. The collaborative effort highlighted Grandi Manufacturing’s expertise in supporting large-scale public art projects through precision metal fabrication and engineering.
This mosaic sculpture is now a significant artistic feature at Coop’s headquarters, celebrating the rich history of the Cirkel Kaffe brand.
